Marketing for Romance Writers Organization

Friends of ePublishing Nomination

Marketing for Romance Writers has been nominated for the Electronically Published Industry Coalition's (EPIC) Friend of ePublishing award. Each year since 2002, EPIC has given recognition to the non-EPIC member organization which has made tangible, lasting contributions to furthering the ePublishing industry. While the award is not for EPIC members, the involvement of an EPIC member in an organization would not eliminate consideration of an organization which is doing outstanding work to support and encourage ePublishing.

Here is the wording for our nomination.
"Hello and thank you for this opportunity to express my absolute admiration by way of this nomination. I would like to nominate Kayelle Allen's - Marketing for Romance Writers. It is a group that changes lives, gives opportunities where there were none, and shares beyond what a writer needs to make it in this business. Never have I seen so many mentors housed in one place. A place where the student becomes the teacher and the teacher becomes the student. Membership is free but it is the giving of each member which is the true story of this wonderful non-profit organization. Seek, teach, share, learn, succeed becomes more than a motto for Marketing for Romance Writers, it becomes a way of life...a security that someone is always there to lend a hand."

MFRW has made significant impact on epublishing, as well as self-publishing, and traditional publishing by helping the authors in these categories learn more about the business of promoting. This nomination is for all the mentors on MFRW. The group was created by one person, but the members who help others make it great.

MFRW Pinterest Project
Member author Paloma Beck has undertaken our group's Pinterest page. She's now organizing all our book covers by category and genre. We use this site to promote our authors. As readers begin to discover the site, follow the boards, and repin the covers to their own pages, word about our authors spreads. If you would like to pin your cover with us, join our Yahoo Group (it's free) and then send an email to mfrwstaff-ownerATyahoogroupsDOTcom. Put Pinterest and your author name in the subject. Be sure your email is to mfrwstaff-OWNER, as leaving out that word will result in a bounced message. We need a buy link so we can pin your cover to that site. Include no more than 500 characters for a tag. Questions? Same email. When you join the group, you'll get an automated message with the same information.

MFRW Bloghoppers
Member author Kristyn Phipps is our new Bloghop Director. She's organizing us into the categories of Mainstream, Erotic, Gay, and YA, and helping us create fun bloghops to pull in readers. We'll have fan pages for our hops on Facebook so that readers can keep up on new hops as they happen. This means cumulative reader involvement. Come join our group and hop with us.
